A local single mother of four small children, who was recently diagnosed with a Brain Tumor, has won a local contest helping her to alleviate just a bit of her financial burden.

New City Dentist, Dr. Richard Herman, held a month long contest called “Thanksgiving in July” where people in the community nominated local needy families who may be going through some extra tough times.

Upon receiving countless nominations Dr. Herman chose several families to be the recipients of the contest. This Saturday those families will enjoy a four course “Thanksgiving Style” Lunch with all the fixings, courtesy of Dr. Herman’s office.

Among the winning families is a single mother of 4, who was recently diagnosed with a Brain Tumor and a single mother of a 9 year old disabled boy.

The single mother of one will be at Dr. Herman’s office at 12 noon on Saturday, July 11th, to accept her “Thanksgiving in July” meal. Dr. Herman will then leave his officer and travel 10 minutes away to where he will personally deliver the “The Thanksgiving in July” meal to the single mother of 4.

The media is welcome to come to Dr. Herman’s office and then come along for the ride as these needy families receive just a bit of good fortune.

Dr. Herman will continue to do giveaways such as “Thanksgiving In July” in hopes of making a difference in the community and to get other local business owners to make a difference as well.
